I took my dad's cement mixing box and tarred the cracks. I used baler twine to tie four 5 gallon gas cans to each corner of the bottom. It took two of us to launch it but it held me and I navigated the dam. I then went back to see if it would carry two. It did and we each had a pole to push our way up and down stream. Dad's other smaller cement mixing box was upside down and longways as a seat for we dam faring lads. Needless to say, dad didn't mix any cement that summer. 1959 - G. Little
